We are regularly called in to investigate outbreaks of disease or ongoing problems on the farm. ​We will look at all the contributing factors and may take samples from stock on the farm.​ Some laboratory tests are processed in house, but most samples are sent off to accredited laboratories.

Post mortem examinations are often useful. We are able to do this either on-farm or at the local hunt kennels.​Having worked in the APHA Veterinary Investigation service, Jane has a particular interest and a significant amount of experience in disease investigation and post-mortem examinations.

 

Vicki is also interested in calf health and will carry out housing assessments using infra-red measuring equipment and smoke bombs.
